I need to tighten up security on an IMail 6.03 server,
1. Has to allow web hosting customers to send and received mail from what
ever network they access the internet on, and
2. has to let web sites send mail using what ever mail sending program they
are using (class c's).
3. Has to keep spammers and un-authorized people out.
Is the following correct?
On the SMTP Security Tab, I set 'Mail Relay Options' to 'Relay for
Addresses' and put in the class c's, say: 123.123.123.1 to 255 and
321.321.321.1 to 255, like this:
IP Address Subnet Mask
123.123.123.0 255.255.255.0
321.321.321.0 255.255.255.0
Then the customers who access from their ISP networks simply use SMTP Auth
(which doesn't work too well according to this list).
Is this correct?
