I'm having a big problem when adding users from an
Oracle database, using IMail 6.02
I put the user records into the database, and then
send an email to that account. Sometimes it creates the folder for the user with
no problem. Othertimes it seems to get stuck on certain users, and won't accept
the email, giving an "unknown user" message. At the same time it will
accept mail to other new users and create their folders. If I reboot the
server and then try again though it accepts the mail and sets up the users
folder. If this only happened occasionally I'd try to live with it, but it
happens probably half the time! Has anyone seen this problem before, and what
can I do to fix it?
I'm using the special odbcuser.dll file for Oracle,
not sure if that has anything to do with it.
There's also another problem - whenever a user logs
into their account using the web messaging interface, it deletes their password!
Logging in via POP works fine however. I kind of found a work around by changing
the configuration of the ODBC driver to connect in "read only" mode, but
that's not a real solution. I'd be grateful from any helpful
suggestions.
Thanks,
Marc
