I am thinking of using IMail Server 5.04 for a mailing list (it is what our
host provides us with). It would be used only to send out a weekly
newsletter to 5,500 readers. People will also be able to
subscribe/unsubscribe through our website.

I have been playing around with it and am having trouble sending the
newsletter with html tags. According to the Ipswitch site, all that I would
need to do is make sure that the message begins with <html> and <body> tags,
but this doesn't seem to make a difference. My email application is set to
send with html (I am on Outlook 4.5 for the Mac).

Am I doing something wrong? Can I send mail with html through this system?

I don't have much access to the server, as it is hosted elsewhere
(Interland).

We will be paying $17/month for this mailing list. I was looking for a free
one that we could use instead, but they are all limited to smaller mailing
lists. Does anyone know of a good free one with no subscriber limit?

Any tips are greatly appreciated. I am not much of a techie and am feeling a
bit overwhelmed.

Thanks,
Beth Davidson
