Chris,
Any Alias that calls another alias, is subject to the 50 address limit, so
if the first has 42, the called alias, cannot have more than 8 addresses.
If there are no files in the Queue, then SMTP32 would only be running when
new messages arrive in the Queue. If you just got the error, I would expect
at least one non-log set of files in the \imail\spool dir. If that file
remains, thenthe next Queue Timer interval will cause IMAil to try
processing that file again and you could again see the error. This could
continue many times, up the 'Number of Tries, before returning to sender'
(default is 20). Only after the Tries counter for that message is
incremented and the # Tries is exceeded, will IMail 'return to sender' (if
it can, this action could start another sequence of X error message!).
