I can send mail and the recipient receives the mail that I sent fine.

ok, at least that.

But when some message is coming in to my IMail server, I just can't receive it. No error messages. I've cleaned the spool directory but it doesn't help. SMTP, POP3, IMAP4 and SYSLOG services are running. I've also tried to connect with Telnet to my SMTP port 25 and it responds fine. DNS servers respond to pinging.

that's not enough, it has to answer MX and A queries on port 53.

I don't have any aliases set up (yet). I was going to do those, but I thought it would be good to get the official host working first.

in DNS

domain.com.        MX  10  imail.domain.com
mail.domain.com.   MX  10  imail.domain.com

smtp.domain.com.      A  ip of Imail
pop.domain.com.       A  ip of Imail
webmail.domain.com.   A  ip of Imail

In imail:

domain.com   with host alias of mail.domain.com

So when I send mail, the reply-to adddress is the whole official host name ([EMAIL PROTECTED]).

this is wrong, see above "in imail"

So, I've tried to do all the configurations and to make everything as simple as possible at first to even get it working but haven't got any success yet. If anybody knows more tricks to check or something to do to get it working, please let me know.

this smells like DNS

turn on SMTP logging in Imail.

What's you domain name for I can check DNS.
