We are currently using a custom application to interface with our Imail
Server and when the user's Inbox gets larger (not in terms of mailbox size
but the number of messages), we start experiencing problems when downloading
mail fom the server.
Our system works as follows:
- User logs in
- We download the Envelopes (Headers) and display them
- The user can then select the message to view
The problem is the initial header download will fail due to an error related
to the mail server. We also have this problem when moving a lot of
messages, flagging alot of messages, and expunging a lot of messages. By a
lot I mean usually greater than 150 or so in one Mailbox (Folder).
If you have had any similar problems and had any solutions, then please let
me know as we would appreciate it.
