There are at least 3 server names: MS networking name, tcp/ip host
name, and then in Imail, the primary/default mail host name, and then
all the virtuals. Which one is "payette.bsu.net"

>But when sending email... we name it mail.bsu.net

do you mean "RCPT TO: [EMAIL PROTECTED]" ?

>Is it something that I have to include in the NT host file???

If mail.bsu.net is an Imail (non-default) mail hostname, the hostname
does not need to be in NT hosts file.
