Bonjour, JonPaul

That's not really too bad. Sending mail to Internet is like pushing
wet spaghetti. 5 to 10 seconds per msg is right about in the
middle of the road, actually.

>It needs to go faster.... any ideas. I spotted the page on the reg hack
>about number of process's, tried it... not noticed any change though i'm not
>sure i done the correct thing. Please any ideas for faster mail?

How many SMTP processes do you see in the Task Mgr, roughly?

What's the NT CPU utilization? Maybe good ol' Doc Watson stopped by
to make a house call. Give 'im the boot.

Is everything else on that machine running at useable, "normal" speed?

Any errors in the sysMMDD.txt log?

No mail leaves unless the DNS tells Imail where to shove it, so is your DNS ok?

If you installed Imail with a "space" between your ears, that could
slow things down, right, Daniel??

Stop/start SMTP service seems to work as well as re-installing NT.

For your viewing pleasure, here's part of my IMGate maillog summary
so far for today. This is IMGate "delivery" to other servers, look at
the avg delay column:

Note, that in the postfix list this week we had the one guy at a
national ISP see postfix deliver 23 msgs/second for a period, one msg
every 45 milliseconds. He was very impressed, and he used to run AOL.com mail.
