We've got many problems with smtp auth running 5.08. We upgraded to 6.03
with smtp patch. Two weeks later, we upgraded to 6.04 and web patch. We
still have problems with smtp auth.
With 5.08 version I had to restart service every 30 minutes. With 6.04, It'
only occurs once a week, but it still occurs.

Len,
I've not yet fully determined what the cause of this is, but everyone I have
seen, was earlier than the 6.04 that is current, today. I'd recommend the
user getting a new full version (contact Support with S/N or S/A numbers)
and install that. So far, no one has completed this process, to my
knowledge.
