I need to change the official hostname of one of my mail hosts.
I currently have the official name as mail.domain.com and an alias
of domain.com. I need to switch it so the official name is domain.com
and the alias is mail.domain.com. The only way i've found to do this
is to copy the hosts folder, delete the host, and reinput the host
moving the old folders back in place after. The imail admin doesnt seem
to recognize the users listed until i check for orphans then it finds
them and will add them but changes all the users passwords. I need to
change this over but have over 150 users and dont want to loose all
there passwords. Is there an easier way to change the host-official name
and alias without all this trouble?
