I keep getting an "Invalid Syntax!" error message when users outside of any domain that is not hosted on my I-mail server. If a user from a domain that is on my I-mail server sends a subscribe message to the list hosted on my I-mail server it subscribes that user without any problems. But when any outside user attempts to send a subscribe message using the exact same syntax, they get a "Invalid Syntax!" error message in eh subject line and nothing in the body of the message.
