I see you are running 6.03 - have you applied the smtp-auth patch? If not,
get it here:

You can also upgrade to 6.04 which should include the auth patch also. Both
are free. Funny thing about the auth problem is that it will creep up for no
reason one day, only effect a handful of users, then disappear.
