No, I don't mind changing DNS records.
It just seems as though I tried to do this and Imail couldn't resolve the
hostname and new IP. Neither of which are in the DNS in TCP/IP properties.
I'll try it again. I don't think I made any DNS record changes.

ok, this has nothing to do with Imail directly. Reboot after
changing the ip. NT isn't too cool about picking ip changes up on the fly.

What do you want to tie it to? some new ip I reckon, no? The NT
machine name can be whatever you want, the NT tcp/ip hostname can be
whatever you want, the DNS hostnames can be whatever you want, they
are unconnected.

Imail does it for you by learning any, all new ip's automatically
from the NT tcp/ip settings during each boot up. What Imail doesn't
do is forget the old ip's, so see the KB about how to delete them.
