I'm using the IIS SMTP service on the same box as the IMAIL server. I can't
get the IIS smtp service to send an email to an IMAIL list on the same
machine.

The full story: NT4 sp6, imail 5.09

I use some ASP pages to manage my mailing lists (stored in a database) on
the IIS side. I send emails to the list through the CDO from an ASP page.
The ASP page rewrites the users.lst file each day before sending.

I can't figure out what configurations to set in order for the cdo to send
an email to the imail list on the same box. If I set the port on the IIS
SMTP sertvice to 26 on both send a recieve it doesn't send anything. If I
set it to 26 for send, 25 to recieve it works fine. So far I've left imail's
ports on 25. Using these setting the IIS side can send email anywhere... and
the imail server runs the list just fine if I send to list from another
machine. If I send the email from the ASP page on that box to the imail
list, it never leaves the que.

The whole thing is inside the firewall using the same DNS.

Is it possible to unbind IMAIL from one of the IP numbers?

Did my problem get lost in my explaination... argh.. any ideas?

Rory
