This is very, very common in spam. The "From:" address is often made up,
or taken randomly from the list of recipients. The "To:" address is almost
always either a fake address, or some other recipient of the spam. FYI,
the "From:" and "To:" headers are usually just for humans to look at, the
mail server sends the mail to the user listed in the "SMTP envelope", which
is not normally shown in the headers. The IMail logs can show who it was
really addressed to.
The only way to avoid it is to install anti-spam software, such as our
Declude JunkMail ( www.declude.com ), Len's IMGate ( imgate.meiway.com ) or
MailShield ( www.mailshield.com ).
