Ok I was been a plank!, I went to the Imail server and checked that I could
ping the second IP address which I could.
Then when i read you comments I thought about it more, the IMAIL Server sits
on the DMZ zone of my sonicwall!, I had not added the second IP address in
there hence no one could ping it!.
Thanks Every one for the help! - just needed the push!]

Ryan,
>From where, are you performing the Ping test? First I'd try it on the
machine with that IP. If that works, then that proves the system recognises
it. If not, then only thing I can suggest is to remove the IP and add it
again (maybe, remove the NIC driver and re-installing it might help, too!).
If it worked on the local machine, then try from another host on the same
network and that too should work. If not, then maybe this is a routing
issue?
When I traceroute to the 101 IP, it ends here:
193.132.78.150 pipex-gw.science-int.co.uk, with 'timeouts' after this line.
When I do the same for 100, I see this as the next to last device:
193.132.78.150 pipex-gw.science-int.co.uk,
with this one next:
193.132.78.100 central.science-int.co.uk
