We've had this problem for some time. We discovered a user with a mailbox
that when clicked on would crash web messaging. I sent this to Ipswitch and
they said they could not reproduce the problem. We pulled the mail down with
a POP client and things continued to work for a while. A few days later, the
same person's mailbox caused the same problem. Looking in the log files
showed he was one of the last few to logon before the process crashed. We
cleaned his mailbox again and unsubscribed him from some humor mailing
lists.
I wonder if there is a problem with decoding messages somewhere. The only
thing I can suggest is look in the logs before you restart web messaging and
see if you see a pattern of users that had recently logged on before the
crash and then check their mailboxes. Also you might open a call with
Ipswitch as they didn't seem to think others were having this problem.
