Because IMail only accepts the POST method for logons, not the GET method.

If the data (userid/password/page) is sent with the URL, it is referred to
as the GET method.  If they are sent separately from the URL via HTTP, it is
called the POST method.  And, for no reason I can comprehend, many web
servers force you to use one or the other (even if they understand both
methods).
