structured email with attachments

$20K?
Thats a serious price tag for an application that could be built using even
MS MAPI controls, which would run like a deamon on some machine and would
poll email once every several minutes or so.
We are working on a similar package, should have it finished soon.
Basically the user (either a user or some automated process) sends an email
message that contains instructions that are parsed on the server side (and
these can include simple SQL commands that will be ran on an ODBC database).
The email message can also contain attachments with instructions in the body
message what to do with the attachments on the server side, or the
application can use predetermined (in an INI file) directories in which the
attachments will be automatically uploaded.
IE5 with Outlook Express is needed on the machine on which the email
handling will be taking place.

If anybody is interested, I can send the specs together with the price
information once the system is finished (we need this for our purposes also,
therefore this will be finished quite soon).

regards,
Marcin
