First, it's (almost) impossible to send mail to a domain that doesn't have
MX records in DNS (unless you send it directly to the IP address, such as
horizons@[10.10.10.10], or have an A record set up). The only way that a
mail server knows where mail is supposed to go is through DNS.
But, if you already have a domain set up that is receiving mail, then you do
have at least two DNS servers that have at least 1 MX record set up on them.
