You are not gonna believe this. Problem Recap: When composing a new message, IMAIL will truncate the last character of an email address if the user selects the "Add recipient to address book" check box. The address will be added, minus the last character and followed by the ">" eg. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> versus <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Also, When attempting to attach a file to an e-mail, IMAIL 6.04 will report 0 bytes as the file size regardless of the actual file size. Here are the steps a collegue and I went through to pinpoint the problem. 1.] I installed IMAIL version 6.0 locally on my computer. (Keep in mind that the server that mail.blaqmail.com is actually running on is using IMAIL 6.04) 2.] I copied my templates into the web folder locally and ran webmail. The problem was gone. 3.] So I figured that the conflict was in an updated (6.0 versus 6.04) sm_js.cgi file which sendmail.html calls. I copied the "old" sm_js.cgi file from my local machine over the "new" sm_js.cgi file in my web folder on the server. This still did not eliminate problems. 4.] So there is something in 6.04 that is not in 6.0 that causes the addresses to truncate when added to the address book during a new compose, as well as displaying incorrect file size when attachments are used. 5.] Does IMAIL install any other files onto the system besides the registry and the c:\IMAIL directory? If you would like to view these problems you can do so by: 1.] Logging into mail.blaqmail.com as "demo" and "1234" to test IMAIL 6.04 2.] Logging into wolfgang.manicmoment.net:8583 as "demo" and "1234" to test IMAIL 6.0 Hope this helps! -Onyi Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
