I'm confused on what to do for an install which is coming near in our
organization for our departmental lists, such that each department currently
on our Netscape Messaging Server v3.62 has a group of users. Each company
has a group of departments. We also have geographically 3 offices, who are
also groups. And then finally an address to encompass all the users.
In setting these up, people appear on multiple groups. And our helpdesk
sometimes forgets to put people in all of the groups (usually misses the
geographic list).
Our departments range from 2-8 people. Our companies range from 3-55
people.
Conceptually, it would be splendid to be able to setup:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] in the communications group ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
[EMAIL PROTECTED] the geographic/company group to include
[EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], etc.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] to include acfmilwaukee@, dc@, ny@, feimilw@.
But from the sounds of it, this grouping on IMail will not be accepted if a
list (be it the list or the inherited members (addresses of groups), reaches
more than 50 users. What do I do? Create postable listservers for each of
them and continue to maintain it like that of Netscape Messaging Server.
