Does anyone know the best way to back up a Imail server for a full and
complete recovery including all accounts, email, folders,
settings......EVERYTHING!
Export the imail registry key - at least - Domains on a regular basis, and
backup your physical directory that holds all your mailboxes.
Maybe even have iMAIL installed on another server and mirror the mailboxes
and mail to it. Then, when the primary crashes you just need to import the
registry key - Domains.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a "Database handicapped" person running
an Imail server that might eventually have tens of thousands of accounts?
Learn fast!! (sorry, couldn't resist)
Will Imail be able to handle 100,000 accounts using it's own database?
Its own database is the registry. I would use a seperate db for 100,000
users - SQL maybe.
What problems might one incur running Imail with it's own database for a
while
and then trying to convert down the road?
Just the hassle fo converting it all.
