Just one caveat to remember when using ports > 1000 to listen to: Try to
avoid the numbers immediately following 1023. When outgoing connections are
made, they use ports temporarily starting at 1024. So, if you were to set
something to listen to port 1024 (where NAI suggests having mail servers
listen -- but please don't!), and another program makes *any* type of
outgoing connection before you get port 1024 for listening, you're screwed.
Whether it's MS SMTP, IMail, or anything else, it won't be able to use the
port.
