Figure 20 Kbytes/msg on avg, then N msgs/day per user, to figure your mail b/w. 5000 users x 10 mgs/day x 20 kb/msg = 1 gb/day 1,000,000,000 bytes/day / 86400 secs/day = 11 kbytes/sec (ie, not much) This is very, very rough and idealistic, just a calculation example. Also, unless you are extremely lucky and have CIR QoS / SLA with your DSL supplier, you will not get anywhere near 1 megabit/sec. Almost no DSL providers give Service Level Agreements, since consumer DSL is not considered infrastructure quality.
