You also have to remember what the A in ADSL stands for. Your "A"synch DSL
may have 1 meg back to you, but what is the upstream? And as far as
stability goes we've lost/regained many customers who jumped on the DSL
bandwagon and really missed their rock solid partial t's/ISDN's etc.

But that reliability is largely a function of your lec, not your dsl
provider. I have multiple DSL lines in several locations. Some have been
rock solid, others multiple outages for days. Some good with only a single
outage.
The outages have all been the lec's problem, and resolution has never been
as good as with traditional frame/leased/T1 type services.
