Hi Mike       This is not exactly what you are looking for but I recall that we used to have such a feature in a sign-up disk done by Netsurfer.  They did it by using a standard query to the mail server for that user account.  It only checked the master account because it used the dial-up user name and password.  So this can be done w/o using Finger.  If your capable of deconstruction/reverse engineering a program you can get the sign-up software from our web site.  If it requires you to do a sign up to get it, just give me a call and I can kill the account so you won't get billed.  BTW if you do this call me between 4 & 10 PM EST.  I'm in Fayetteville North Carolina, USA.   Kevin Childers NetQuick Customer Support.
