Brian,
If you are using mailall, it will send to all users regardless of any
'subscribe/unsub' actions. If you use a List Server, then either users
sub/unsub themselves or you do it. Either way IMail keeps a file, user.lst
(and user.txt) that contain the subscriber info. List addresses are not kept
in an external DB.
However, your DB could have some field (you would have to add it) that
indicated their subscribe status, and with the correct query, generate a
file with the email addresses of only those who are subscribed and that file
named user.lst and placed in the correct location, be used by the List
Server.
