Melvin,
So all was fine, up until you changed the DNS and moved to the new server
(I'm assuming the new IP, in DNS, is that of the new computer)? If the
sender cannot deliver, it should eventually (could be hours to days!) bounce
and return to the sender with more info about the delivery problem. Even one
of those, could help resolve the problem. To troubleshoot, need more info
about the domain(s) in question (name, IPs, etc). Then we can try sending to
you (and connecting to SMTP) to see if connection can be made and what
responses are sent.
If you moved IMail from one machine with its IP to a different machine with
a different IP, and imported the complete \imail..... registry key, it could
have brought the old IP/hostname to the new machine (\domains key) and for
the \global (hostname) key value. This can be fixed by editing the registry.
The \domains\IPaddresses and \domains\domainnames have settings that point
to each other and must be syncronised for IMail to 'recognise' the domain.
See KB for more details about 'moving' IMail and 'changing IPs' (or even
changing domains to/from IP to IPless) as these will tell you more about
the relationship and how to modify a domain (just to make sure your new
computer and IMail and its domains, are set up correctly).
