When SMTP servers answer port 25, they are supposed to respond with "220 " followed by 
the official name of the server.  That's what RFC822 says. IMail, however, responds 
with "X1" where the server name should be.  This is technically a violation of the 
RFCs (unless they have been updated in another RFC, which is possible), although I 
can't imagine it would cause any problems.
