Yes. IMail doesn't serve graphics very well at all... often they come across
as broken, and there's something about their headers that causes browsers to
reload them on every page view.

The best way to fix it is to serve the images from a real webserver. You'd
need to go through the templates and edit every path for the <img> tag's src
attribute.

No.
> Do the Humankind templates fix this problem?
The new version of our KillerWebMail templates lets you specify a global
path to your images directory, which you can easily put on a separate
webserver. We've seen it speed up page loads by about 2X, and the images get
cached properly by the browsers, speeding up subsequent loads even further.
