The "MX connect fail" message means that IMail couldn't connect to the SMTP server at 
that IP address.  Since I can connect to those IP addresses right now, it's unlikely a 
DNS issue.  Most likely, their servers were down.  It's also possible that your 
Internet connection (or a connection between you and them) was down.
