I want to make sure I understand this, can someone help clarify this. This KB ariticle (http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-20000117-DM01.htm) states that SMTP Auth does not work for shared-ip-address Virtual Host that use an external user database. So because I use the database, and have multiple domains on one server, SMTP AUTH is not an option? But if I switched back to the Imail user format it would work? If that is the case, then I would have to suspect it is because Ipswitch hasn't programmed into the SMTPD to handle reading the external database. Shouldn't that be a simple fix? A user doing POP to a VH (virtual host) has to specify their account as [EMAIL PROTECTED] with their password. And that knows how to read the external database and pick up the proper host and then user. So that code is then just needed in the SMTPD. Comments are obviously desired. :> -Bill Doyle Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
