I
have experienced this as well when we were having other problems with
Declude.
The
thing to look for is when the virus scanner has any kind of error, it will
return a non-zero result... Declude will interpret this as the scanner reporting
that it found an error.
That
in itself isn't bad... but if the scanner errors a lot, then you get a lot of
false positives on viruses... the good news is that you can put the messages
back in service by copying them from the virus folder to the queue folder (D
& Q files)... this gives you time to solve the problem you're having with
the scanner.
Hope
this helps,
_M

Subject: [IMail Forum] Problem with Declude Anti-VirusI'm having a small problem with Declude anti-virus.It seems to be catching a fair amount of virus infected messages, but it isalso catching a lot of non-infected messages as well.Every morning I have a look in my virus holding folder and there are many message files in there. If I rescan the dir or individual file manually with the same scanner and switches, 95% of the messagesare clean.Anyone else experiencing this?[virus.cfg]SCANFILE C:\Progra~1\Common~1\networ~1\viruss~1\4.0.xx\scan.exe /ALL /NOMEMVirus scanner is McAfee Viruscan NT command line v.4.5.0Virus definition file v.4.0.4115Declude ver. 1.10 (also tried 1.9)Imail Ver. 6.05Windows 2000 Server512 MB RAMDual 450 PII20GB Mirrored array
