Scott,
When I first got your email, I tried a telnet session to the AOL IP in the
log and got in 3 consecutive times. I just tried again (couple of hours
later, been busy!) and got a 'host connection lost' on the first attempt and
success on the next 2. My read is that the AOL servers are _very_ busy, so
may close the connection, shortly after accepting. This is a valid and
possible response, for an email server. Unfortunately, it does mean that by
accepting the connection (rather than refusing it) that IMail won't try
other MX records (it was allowed to connect), so the outgoing message gets
requeued and tried later. AOL may not have 'problems', but....
The log portion you show, indicates this message has only been tried once.
Give it some time.
Daniel Donnelly
