I have a question regarding Mail Relaying. Will Relay Mail for "[Addresses]" still alow any of the users for any of the domains on the server to send mail? I have a webserver that has various mail forms on it that need to be sent over the SMTP server, the problem is that they all have a "from" address that is the persons real email address (which obviously wouldnt work if I used relay for local users or local hosts) so I have an open relay right now which I REALLY dont want. If I am understanding the docs correctly I can place the IP addresses of the Webserver into the Relay Mail for "[Addresses]" and it will then relay any mail sent from that machine, but will it also continue to relay mail sent by our clients using our SMTP server since I obviously can't add all of their IPs (they do all have users set up under their corresponding domains on the server). I know I can use SMTP Auth, but I have some Netscape users who are getting prompted for for a password and it never lets them through (I did see the KB article about this but if I turn it off wont I be back at square one?)
