Wulf,
Not likely to be the Database. Usually outbound delivery problems are caused
by DNS problems. A portion of the log, when IMail is trying to send a
message would be most helpful. And if you see 'MX fail connect' or 'Stack
fail connect' messages, there are KB articles that can provide more info and
help.
A quick but temporary fix or test is to change the DNS IP address (to your
providers DNS IP) in the SMTP settings, then try to send a new message to an
external address. If that works, then you do have DNS problems.

Subject: [IMail Forum] relaying mail to external destinations
Our test iMail sever is having problems relaying mail to external
destinations.
The only changes we have made around the time that this started happening.
Are:
Uninstalled access 2000 (test mail server)
installed access 97 (test mail server)
The ODBC drivers for access did not change and are still the 4.0
version
Any comments to the probable cause or solution would be appreciated
thx,
Wulf von Waldow
