It sounds like the IMonitor service, that checks the system every minute to make sure
that it is still up. To get rid of it, just go to the Monitor tab in the IMail
Administrator, and uncheck SMTP.
Or, you could set it to check every 5 or 10 minutes instead of every minute if you
wanted to reduce the log file entries.
