I have a site that is hosting their own email, but their internet access is
through DSL and SouthWestern Bell in their infinite wisdom make it nearly impossible
to deal with them. When accessing the server from outside using an eMail client
(Outlook) I can receive email fine... but can NOT send email. I beleive that this is a
problem caused by SMTP not matching the DNS in the Bridge group
(123-456-789-012-swbell.net) to the eMail servers Domain Name (mail.mydomain.net). I
have read somewhere that this problem existed and have tried to get the DNS listing in
the router (bridge group) at SW Bell's site changed with nothing but crap from them...
Is their an email client that works without this problem? Any help would be
appreciated.
