I'm curious is you can point me to any information about Multiple PTR
records and DNS being sent via TCP rather than UDP.. You say that if the
query is over 20k it will use TCP. I'm curious about this.
Second thing is you say you are only supposed to have one PTR record per
IP.. So, how do companies like msn, yahoo, hotmail, etc.. do it? I guarantee
that they have more than one PTR record per email address..

My previous E-mail suggested that you shouldn't have multiple PTR records
for a given IP. Although this is commonly assumed, RFC2181 clarifies the
issue, and multiple PTR records are allowed. However, many programs either
may not be able to handle multiple PTR records, or may only use the first
one. Also, having a response to a DNS question be about 20K (over 900
records) is going to cause problems no matter what (for example, it has to
be sent via TCP, rather than the standard UDP transmissions for DNS).
