It shouldn't cause any problems. However, RFC821 (SMTP) states that the "greeting"
(the line of text that the mail server sends when you first connect to it) must start
with a 3-digit response code (usually 220), followed by a " " or a "-", and then the
name of the mail server.
IMail responds with "220 X1 NT-ESMTP Server domainname.com...", instead of "220
domainname.com...". It is a technical violation of the RFCs, but it happens often
(some firewalls block everything after the "220 "), and it is unlikely that it will
cause any problem.

You can make a change in the registry that will alter the text that is displayed (the
Knowledge Base, http://support.ipswitch.com , tells you how). However, if you change
the text, you lose the 2 numbers at the end that tell you how many connections IMail
has handled since it started, and how many current connections there are.
