Not sure about the best way, but this is what I did(I don't have external
DB, just Ipswitch DB):

1. Copied the entire Imail directory to a new server

2. Exported registry keys for Ipswitch hive and all its services (I think it
was about 9 files, one for Ipswitch hive and eight other for services.

3. Applied registry files to a new server by clicking on files

4. Changed IP address for mail host in registry.

that was it.
