Subject: [IMail Forum] Total Imail integration?
Hi there,
I'm a newcomer to Imail, and are currently working on an educational-based
project. I'm in the middle of creating a totally integrated resource and
syndicate site, aimed at University Students. As part of the integration, I
am trying to get Imail to work alongside the rest of the features on the
site.
However, I've encountered a small problem, with the user authentication
system. Once the use has logged in to the site, the username + password are
stored in a couple of session variables, meaning that it's already known
who's logged in. Both the site, and the Imail login + passwords are the same
for the user.
I've not found a way where I can somehow tell Imail who this user is,
without actually having to access the login page for Imail. There are
several links within my site, that point to various areas of Imail - eg one
to the inbox, one to Compose, address book, etc.
Has anyone found any way of linking to the various areas, without direct
authorisation? Is there a way of putting in the username + password directly
in the link to the different Imail areas?
Regards,
Alvaro
