Mike,

Imail is not a POP client.  The link below is for ETRN.  For what you are trying to do you are better off, fixing your problems and hosting your mail on your server and have the ISP be a secondary MX for you.  Or going with a different product like Deerfields email server/client.  It does POP retreival similar to what you have described.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Can Imail get mail from pop3?

I have installed Imail from www.ipswitch.com

I have bought a domain fx. mydomain.com and all email sent to me is sent
here.(the domain is hosted by an ISP and not me.

I can log on with outlook express and retreive all mail. But how do I setup
Imail to retreive from this pop3 account?

I cant find this particular problem solved in the manual. (Ipswitch tried al kinds
of solutions but the the one I am looking for) such as

Mail can be sent from the webinterface Imail provides. When ansvered to this
email the response is sent to the correct pop3 account so this works fine
too.

Some will probably say "Why not setup so all email is sent directly to the
Imail server". The reason for this is my server has a tendancy to boot at
all the wrong times, so until this is solved I dont want any mail lost.
Besides The pop3 solution is one I would like to have working for other
accounts such as hotmail accounts.

Hoping someone here has a solution :-)
Have a nice day...

Regards Mike

ps.

I have seen this solution. But if one reads the writing above then this is not the solution I am looking for.
