I know this works for Sendmail.
telnet host 25
MAIL From:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
RCPT To:emailaddress
quit
That works for sendmail. It should work for Imail also. Some SMTP services
allow you to run the verify command instead. But I have never run it in a
telnet session.
Good luck. I'll be looking to see what anyone else posts. It's a good
question.
