Yes I do a similar function with the Intranet site I run here. What I did to
get around this is have a database with the authentication info for both
systems, instead of using Imails default log in screen have an middle
ground, log the user on to a 'mySite' type page and have some options for
email password/username, and chat password/username.
Len I know you know how to bypass the Imail login screen so I won't bother
pointing you too the KB article on it, but it is pretty simple to use a
secondary authentication database to maintain accounts on multiple systems.
