Because someone had some extra time on their hands.  Or they were using a souped-up 
GUI "We change it from the way you want to the way we think it should be" interface.

If it was intentional, it was likely because someone had the idea that if a customer 
was connected via PPP to ppp27.monti.net, they might think they should use 
[EMAIL PROTECTED]  Silly, really.  Now they are stuck, and will need to 
keep those MX records, just in case someone was dumb enough to use 
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
