Russ,
The HOSTS file should always have a second line with your computers IP and
its FQDN! Without that, your computer cannot resolve its own name unless it
gets assistance from DNS and if DNS goes down.... And if you have IMail
configured on the Primary IP, with just a 'domain.name' rather than the full
'machine.domain.name' there should be a third line (or a continuation of the
second line) with the IP and the name used by IMail. Without this, there may
be name resolution troubles.
I just connected to your mail server and tried a telnet session and it
appears that IMail has no knowledge of that domain. Here is that session:

rcpt to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

550 not local host ipswitch.com, not a gateway
So, it won't accept from a remote (which is good) and it should not try a
local delivery, if it does not 'know' the domain is local.
Have you restarted the computer since removing the domain? This is not
normally needed, but it cannot hurt and might help!
Did you remove all references to this domain (at least the mail server),
from your DNS?
Might help to see a complete transaction, rather than just a single error
line in that transaction.
