> I am designing a web interface for web messaging and have a few questions. > > 1. Can I use Cold Fusion and the tags for Imail Web Messaging together? Nope, sorry. The web messaging templates are served by IMail's proprietary webserver, which won't know anything about your CF tags. > 2. Do I have to keep the names of the templates the same in order > to use the Web Messaging tags? Yes. IMail only parses tags in the files it knows by name, like "menu.html". > 3. The documentation that I have for Web Messaging customization > is not good (I just have the Imail User's guide). Is there any > other inforation available? Ipswitch has a Tags.doc file somewhere on their site, that documents all the IMail tags. > I would appreciate any feedback/advice that you could give me. Unless you're just doing this for the sheer challenge/fun of it, I'd recommend you take a look at our open-source Classic and/or Killer templates (links below) to see if they might provide a better starting point for your customizations. We've been working on them for over a year, so they're solid and well-supported.
