Ron at KWM has a solution for this. I don't know if you need
his web templates or not. The web templates rock btw.

We're using Imail Server version 6 on a NT Server, and users
access their mail via Imail's web interface from W95 workstations.

Thus, a users logs on to the network, then logs in to Imail to
check their mail.

Does anyone know a way of detecting whether or not a user has new
mail as soon as they log on to our network (without them logging
in to Imail)?

I have found several ideas from the TwoCows etc. but none worked.

Can anyone help?
